VISA requirement and application process
The two types of student VISA to study in Sweden are Sweden Student VISA for a maximum duration of three months. More than this period students have to enroll for Residence permit. For the latter it is mandatory that foreign students have to be enrolled with the University.
You can apply for Swedish VISA by visiting the Swedish embassy or consulate in your Country. You will be photographed and your fingerprints will be taken by which you will get your permit card. Your announcement of residence permit card will be notified in your email address after the official decision. Then you are required to make an appointment to collect the document and their decision is also sent to the University where you have applied and been approved. You should bring your passport and original copies of the documents as listed above when you are scheduled for an interview.
Make a note that before applying for student VISA you have already received an offer letter from your respective College/University in Sweden and paid the advanced tuition fees deposit to get a consent after the VISA interview.
Required documents are:
· All paperwork including application of student
· Photograph of two passport size photos taken recently and finger prints of students
· Enrollment Certificates
· Copy of return ticket reservation
· Travel health insurance coverage
· Cover letter with statement of purpose and itinerary
· Accommodation details
· Civil Status
· Proof of financial statements to support stay in Sweden
· Language tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Advanced.
