Geography and best places to visit in Japan

Japan has 6852 islands where five main islands are Hokkaido, Honshu, Kyushu, Shikoku, and Okinawa while others are remote islands. The oceanic trenches in the archipelago of Japan are three oceanic trenches. Japan is affected by typhoons, earthquakes, and tsunamis. The surroundings of Japan are the seas at the North Sea of Okhotsk, the Sea of Japan to the West, the East China Sea in the South West, and the Pacific Ocean to the East.

It has fisheries that are sixth in tonnage of fish caught and energy resources like coal, petroleum, natural gas, nuclear power, and hydropower.
