Language and religion

Japanese people are known for their distinctive culture and traditions. They have their own religion and native languages also. The most common is the Japanese language which has dialects from Chinese and English. Japanese language writings are based on syllabic phonography and ideography. Lesser spoken languages in Japan are Amami, Kyukyu, Kikai, and Miyako. Japanese is often called a language isolate and the only link is to Ryukyuan languages which is an indigenous language of the Ryukyu islands.

The traditional religion of Japan is Shinto and other religions are Buddhism. They also believe in the Principles of Confucianism, Christianity, and Muslim religions in some sects. There are Shrines, and temples where the Japanese normally play and worship. Shintoism is practiced by eighty percent of the Japanese population, and 69 percent believe in Buddhism.
